The cemetery is quite pretty and the grass always looks nice, but the stones are in various stages of disrepair. Many of the older stones may well have outlasted the families they represent, but I think there should be a fund to at least clean them. And if there are families who are still local perhaps they could be called to have stones put back up if they have fallen, or need repair or just need a cleaning. My husband and I have been working on his families stones as some were broken and some were just black from age. We'll keep at it until they are all fixed and cleaned. This is right on the main road so many people drive by it on rt 1 every day. It is disgraceful for a town as well off as we are to let our ancestors' final resting place look like it does!
